Description
This gimp yarn or cord yarn is a nice thick metallic yarn add in for your warp every 20 or so ends or space out in your weft as well! Knitters can create chain like looks by slipping stitches and putting purls on either side of the slipped stitch. Crochets and tatters can use it to create endless trims and edge motifs in addition to holiday ornaments. Great for creating a costume chain mail look from a garter stitch or i-cord necklaces.

I really like the look of the yarn, but it’s not as flexible as I expected; so it doesn’t work for the project I was planning. I’m now looking for other projects I can use it for. If you have pattern suggestions, please let me know.

This has been a fun color to play with.

Nice metallic. It will be useful as an accent warp. I’d love love love to see more colors in this exact yarn, particularly pewter and copper. 4 stars because the color is kind of “ordinary”, not quite as rich and deep as this photo shows, but it’s definitely something I’ll use.
