Big news, our producer, Huntingdon Yarn Mill, has made a new dye lot of black rayon chenille! This soft and flatter chenille yarn is suitable for weaving, knitting, or crochet — this is the most popular size chenille yarn for weavers! This rayon chenille also knits up into a soft velvety fabric that’s ideal for close to the skin contact and children’s items. It’s available for purchase online at a great value, your choice of skein or cone.
Rayon chenille is also available in these colors:
As the weather cools down, what’s better than throwing on a soft, bulky wool sweater? Made in America Yarns’ American Lamb Clearance has added new colors, these new dye lots didn’t quite make the cut. Our American Lamb has a captivating texture and a soft springy feel, superb for an over-sized sweater or a beautiful cozy blanket to snuggle with next to a roaring fire. This yarn also has a great structure and would be ideal for outwear such as knitted coats, hats, or winter accessories. This month’s featured colors are: Sugar Plum, Zengari, Pumpkin, and Curry Powder, Pink Elephant, and Natural!
New colors have also been added to our Wayfarer Clearance Yarns. Wayfarer is a lovely yarn for sock knitting because it is so soft and buttery to the touch. It is a perfect yarn for a light weight shrug, scarf, or cape. Wayfarer yarn has a soft and bouncy hand it is truly a pleasure to work with.

Featured Pattern of the Month: Laurel Socks
These are the Laurel Socks by Wendy Johnson from her book Toe Up Socks for Everybody. I knit the socks out of our fingering weight line, Wayfarer, in our natural color (it’s undyed, just scoured.) What I love about Wendy’s books is the fact that her charts are separated by size so there’s no mixing up starting points as you knit. She also has these super nifty sock pattern cards, Toe Up Socks in a Box, which are awesome for portability without having to give up more interesting patterns. The lacework on these socks is fun and not incredibly difficult since it’s easy to track what is happening and where. In her books, Wendy walks you through every step of knitting a toe up sock from basics to anything more complex while giving you helpful guides on fit and techniques.
For me, having a pair of socks on my needles is a must. They are easy to take and work on anywhere without having to worry if you need to stop mid-row.
We wish everyone happy holidays and happy crafting!
