Leafing for Spring – Designer Series
Leafing for Spring is a whimsical, crocheted shawl pattern by Anastacia Zittel from Massachusetts. I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting her at Stitches EAST which was in Connecticut this year. I wish we had more time to hang out together because I know there are lots of crochet techniques I could learn from her! Anastacia is a CGOA member, a certified knit & crochet teacher through the Craft Yarn Council of America, and teaches classes locally in Connecticut.
This pattern features one of our coolest yarns – Florafil Shimmer! It only uses 3 skeins of yarn, the shawl is shown in Lady’s Mantle and you have a lot of options to change it up. The cotton and rayon will keep you at a nice temperature on hot days and it is a blast to crochet with because of the extra rayon wrap.
The pattern costs $5, and you can purchase it at your local shop through Ravelry’s in-store pattern program. You can also purchase it directly on Ravelry as well if you can’t wait to start!
You can see more of Anastacia’s designs here on Ravelry or on Facebook.
Happy making,
