Price Change & November News

Posted on Nov 20, 2013 in Newsletter

We have some exciting news!
With the help from our stores, reps, and employees, sales on Made in America Yarns have been very strong and are only looking to get stronger! What does that mean for all of us? It means we will be able to purchase our wool and cotton in larger quantities and pass our savings along to you!

Our new pricing went into effect today, November 18, and is visible on our website now. We have cut the cost by $1-$3 on many of our yarn lines including American Lamb and Florafil.

Wholesalers and Shop Owners, don’t forget to log in to the site in order to see our new wholesale pricing. Our ‘Shop Local Initiative’ is still going strong with some secret things in the works for the future. If you would like to take part and highlight your shop on our Made in America Yarns blog, just send us an email and a few pictures with our product on your shelves and we’d be happy to feature you!

Thanks for POPing by Stitches East!
We had so much fun meeting everyone who stopped by to pet the yarn and say hi. Thanks for oooing and ahhhing at our no-cal donut boxes and hat kits!
It sounds like everyone had a great time in their classes and learned a lot! We saw so many beautiful sweaters, shawls, and cowls stroll by all weekend.
Shown above is the POP Blanket by Tin Can Knits knit using 2 of our donut boxes and 5 skeins of natural. We still have donut boxes with 40 yards of six colors left in stock . Email us to order. We have both Baby and Brights left. Baby contains each of the solid baby colors and Blue Flag Iris, the Brights contains Indian Paintbrush, Pink Phlox, Yellow Cinquefoil, Lady’s Mantle, Blue Cornflower, and Chocolate Lily. We also have some mitt and hat kits available.

Join our Winter Knit-A-Long and win fabulous prizes!
We’re hosting a Thrummed Earflap Hat KAL (knit-a-long) in our Ravelry group! Join us in our fleecing adventure and win prizes just for participating.
The hat calls for a skein of bulky wool, and our American Lamb fits the bill perfectly! You’ll also need one ounce of roving (easy to find at most local yarn shops or online on sites like etsy).
The full details and rules are in the forum, and shop owners are welcome to participate!

New Employee – Sarah
Please give a warm welcome to our new administrative assistant, Sarah! Sarah is joining us to help out with our increased volume of orders, pattern support, and taming of the yarn. She’ll be helping out on our social media and Ravelry account, MadeinAmericaYarn, as well!
Sarah joins us from an entire family of knitters and has been knitting for over 10 years! She enjoys knitting socks and fingerless gloves the most.

New lighter weight yarn is on it’s way – just in time for the holidays!

Happy making!
